Why Are Some People So Critical?

Everyone in the world is trying to be a critic. It's not just comedians and dicks anymore. Years ago, Criticism was reserved for people talking to people stupider than them. Now the stupids are fighting back, and doing it so badly.

A normal Human being should have a balanced behavior, it not uncommon for someone to criticize someone else or to be sarcastic for one or two times a week, but when the critical comments starts to flood everyone surrounding him and when his sarcastic behavior becomes directed to the purpose of hurting those people then this person is in real need for help.

Are you wondering why? Let me give you the answers:

* Criticism and Anger: Have you ever watched your negative thoughts while being angry? If you did then most probably you already noticed that you were so critical to everyone and to everything. When we become angry we tend to become overly critical and sarcastic, but I am not talking about the short bursts of anger that visit us each now and then, am talking about anger that is carried inwards, am talking about anger that accompanies us in every moment that we live, I am talking about people who are haunted by anger. People with unmet goals, people who were emotionally abused and people with violated rights may end up being angry at everything. They live a miserable life and curse everyone they find in their way as if others carry part of the blame for what happened to them. Those are the overly critical and the overly sarcastic people you meet in your life.

* Being overly critical and Your Inner Child: Some people are overly critical because this is just how they were treated as children. Whether it was by their parents or colleagues it won’t matter much, what matters is that the child becomes wounded and then carries the wound into his subconscious mind then without noticing this wound makes him overly critical and unbearable to everyone around him. The negative messages that this child constantly received as a child turned into a way of thinking that lead him to become an overly critical and sarcastic adult. Not everyone who receives criticism as a child turns to be like that; some people manage to discover what’s right and what’s wrong and then turn to hate those people who were trying to make them become critical persons.

* Criticism and Lack of self confidence: The difference between a confident person and an inferior person is the way of thinking, while the first tends to compliment his actions the second keeps putting himself down. The mind of the person lacking self confidence is usually full of negative messages and that’s why the excess negative messages travels to the other people around him in the form of criticism. The conclusion is, the overly critical person usually lacks self confidence.

I would focus my attention on helping that person who criticized me instead of feeling bad because I was criticized.

I remember a quote from the movie “Gone with the wind” by Rhett Butler “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn”. That would be a better answer for the people who criticize that can make you feel good.

Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) VS. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)

August 5, 2008

Delhi High Court lifts ban on SIMI.
Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal welcomed the lifting of ban on SIMI.

August 6, 2008

The ban on SIMI is subsequently stayed by the Supreme Court of India.
Samajwadi Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal and now Congress wants to ban the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

They wanted to remove the ban from on organization which is famous for planting bombs and killing innocent lives and place a ban on an organization which helps the innocent people affected by terrorism and natural calamities.

Based on Supreme Court’s view

“The whole government machinery is corrupt. We may lay down the law, but who will implement it? It has to be done by the clerks. The secretaries and joint secretaries have no guts to go against the clerks. The law is there, the statute is there, but the governments have become non-functional”.

"In India, even God cannot help. He will be a silent spectator as He will also feel helpless".

Comparison RSS vs. SIMI
Philosophy

RSS
The general philosophical outlook of RSS is cultural nationalism known as integral humanism, aimed at revitalizing the spiritual and moral traditions of India. RSS believes that Hinduism is not simply a religion but a way of life. The proclaimed purpose of the organization is "serving the nation and its people in the form of - Bharata Mata (Mother India) and protecting the interests of the People who treat India as their motherland".

SIMI
Its slogan is "Allah is our Lord, Qur’an is our constitution, Muhammad is our leader, Jihad is our way and Shahadah is our desire". SIMI believes that Osama bin Laden is an outstanding example of a true Mujahid, who has undertaken Jihad on behalf of the 'ummah'. They also believe the 9/11 attacks were by Israel's Mossad.

It maintains that the concepts of secularism, democracy and nationalism, keystones of the Indian Constitution, are antithetical to Islam. They aim to restore the supremacy of Islam through the resurrection of the Khilafat, emphasis on the Muslim Ummah and the waging of Jihad .

Activities

The RSS was instrumental in relief efforts after the 1971 Orissa Cyclone and the 1977 Andhra Pradesh Cyclone.

The RSS has also participated in relief efforts in the Indian State of Kashmir, which has been besieged by Islamic terrorism. An RSS-affiliated NGO, Seva Bharati, has adopted 100 children, most of them Muslims, from militancy affected areas of the region to provide them education at least up to Higher Secondary level. They have also taken care of many victims of the Kargil War of 1999.

The RSS assisted in relief efforts quite extensively during the 2001 Gujarat earthquake.

Sewa Bharati has also collaborated with several relief groups, such as the Catholics Bishops Conference of India to conduct relief operations in the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. Activities included building shelters for the victims, providing food, clothes and medical necessities. They raised over one crore rupees for the effort in one week after the tsunami.

The RSS assisted relief efforts during the 2004 Sumatra-Andaman earthquake and the subsequent Tsunami.

In 2006, RSS participated in relief efforts to provide basic necessities such as food, milk and potable water to the people of Surat, Gujarat who were affected by massive floods in the region.

SIMI

Mumbai Police arrest three persons from Padgah village and foil a plan that envisaged a series of explosions in Mumbai and Kerala, which was allegedly hatched by the SIMI and Lashkar-e-Toiba.

Maulana Nasiruddin, president of the Tahaffuz Shari'at-e Islam (Protection of Islamic Sharia) and allegedly linked to the SIMI, is arrested from Hyderabad in connection with his suspected links to the murder former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya.

All eight accused in the Ghatkopar blast case, allegedly cadres of the SIMI, are acquitted by a POTA court in Mumbai due to lack of evidence.

Noor-ul-Hooda, a SIMI activist, was arrested by the police for his alleged involvement in the 2006 Malegaon blasts. Authorities said the bombs used in the blasts were assembled in the garage of "main conspirator" Shabbir at Malegaon.[9] Maharashtra police claims that 2006 Malegaon blasts were the handiwork of ex-SIMI members.[10]

3 men were arrested for the bombing in Mumbai; all three of them are part of SIMI.

A serial blast was carried out in Mumbai, killing around 200 and hurting more than 1000 innocent commuters in the 7 different local train stations within a time gap of 11 min. SIMI has been suspected of carrying out this terror activity with the help of Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan and Kashmir based terrorist organizations (according to US list) like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad.

SIMI under its new name of Indian Mujahidin claimed the responsibility of Bangalore serial bomb blasts.

Just after a day of serial blasts at the IT hub of India, 17 serial blasts ripped the city of Ahmedabad in the western state of Gujarat, for which too the outlawed SIMI or the IM claimed responsibility. Via suicide bombing & targeting hospitals around 40-45 minutes after all other blasts in the city they maximized casualties.

The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle.

I have been pondering over the last few days on the subject of my first blog. I wanted to start with a fresh topic which can acquaint me with the blog world.

I rarely premeditate which is a mistake and that behavior made me enter to the blog world. I have decided to use this media as a way to express my feelings, achievements, anguish, dreams and whatever I feel like.

I still remember the day when I was in seventh grade and I asked my professor a question “What is god’s greatest gift to a human being?” She promptly replied “Dreams”. I was expecting a different answer from her like good education or good health. Looking at my puzzled face she continued.

Dreams create new ideas through the generation of random thought mutations. Some of these may be rejected by the mind as useless, while others may be seen as valuable and retained.

It’s not any day you can become a pilot or a doctor but you can dream everyday of being a pilot or a doctor. Dream big to achieve something big.

As a good student I entered into my own dream mode and then I heard a loud noise which got me back into reality. “Mahesh, Stop day dreaming and get back to your studies or I will break your knuckles”.

Well, getting back to the present I thought why I don’t publish my dreams or wishes as my first topic in the blog. Again after spending few hours I compiled my own list.

My Wish list/Dreams

  • A trophy wife
  • A large, expensive house.
  • A high-paying and exclusive job on Wall Street with a white shoe firm in corporate law, investment banking, or management consulting for a company like Sullivan & Cromwell, Goldman Sachs or McKinsey & Company.

  • An expensive Swiss watch such as an Omega, Rolex or Patek Philippe.
  • Expensive clothes, like a tailored pinstripe wool suit from Brooks Brothers or made on Saville Row, a dress from Chanel, a cashmere wool sweater from Bloomingdale's or a trench coat from Burberry.
  • Country club membership, especially in a large town or city, where there are a sharply limited amount of membership slots.
  • Frequent luxury vacations, especially to foreign destinations that require extensive plane travel.
  • A marketable degree from a prestigious university, especially the Ivy League in the United States or Oxford or Cambridge in England.
  • Private education at an exclusive boarding school like Phillips Exeter Academy or Institute Le Rosey.
  • Expensive jewelry from a maker like Harry Winston or Tiffany & Co.
  • Expensive gadgets such as a large home theatre.
  • A fountain pen with rare Brazilian, Indian or African woods (e.g., ebony, mahogany) or made with precious metals from a company like Cross or Waterman.
  • Platinum, gold, silver and other precious metals in the form of bullion.
  • High-grade, natural pearls.

  • Vineyards.
